Mindfulness Through Intentions & Self Care
As I sit here getting ready to write, I can hardly contain my excitement for life. This newsletter is a combination of things that have been lighting me up in the last few weeks and also to share with you some exciting news. I want to share all the things that I have been consuming recently! Not only wonderful recipes and great wine, but also educational life content! I hope to offer the community that has supported me for so many years, a little bit of joy and inspiration as you read this little snippet :-). Let’s get started!
Food for the body:
It’s no secret that I LOVE cooking, baking, preparing, and EATING great food! Spring in Georgia means the start of our growing season and I’m all in! After a recent drive to my local orchard for strawberries and peaches, I went on a search for new treats! You know a little sweet and a little naughty never hurt anyone, right?! In the name of science, I decided to research and see for myself! Here are fav’s so far!
Peach crisp & Strawberry Ice cream
Are you ready for another sinful secret? I put the strawberry ice cream ON the peach crisp!! Just sayin’…. I’ll leave the fun up to you to experiment!
Do you like peanut butter cookies? What happens when you double the peanut butter, notice you have some “spicy” ingredients hanging around and some 100% non sweetened cacao?

As much as I love sweets, I do love eating healthy and exploring new salads such as this one! Paired also with a light glass of my new favorite white wine!
Summer Orzo & Wine
And one more guilty pleasure for you…. Well, no guilt here, just pleasure! I love having a glass of wine with dinner, friends or just for the simple act of slowing down. I even use slow sipping as a mindfulness practice! Of course, you can do this with anything, wine is just one option ;)
Start with being mindful of how you choose your favorite class and consciously pour the bottle.
Notice the color, and visual quality of your beverage.
Bring the cup to your nose and before smelling, feel the mug or wine glass in your hands.
Close your eyes and take a deep inhale.
Before taking the first sip, feel the glass against your lips and take a small sip. Let the flavor sit on your tongue and palette. Notice the texture, taste and feel in your mouth before you swallow.
Then let the experience linger on your lips and notice the liquid travel down your throat to your belly.
Take a deep breath and savor this little moment of deep connection to the moment!
Believe me, a smile, sigh and softening is waiting to greet you!
Food for the Mind and Soul:
You’ve probably heard me mention mindfulness a time or two, but I can’t emphasize the benefits enough. One minute of slowing down your pace with mindful breathing can positively impact your mental, physical and emotional health. It lowers your blood pressure, heart rate, slow your thoughts, reduces stress and even reduces pain. If that weren’t enough, it also connects you to YOURSELF and the MOMENT!
Let’s try. Notice your breath. Look around. Feel your breath. Listen to your surroundings. Again, feel your breath, notice how it enters and exits your body. Be here. Breathe. Pause. Settle. Be with your surrounding without judgement. Now…. Don’t you feel just a wee bit more relaxed?!?

Life and Pole Vibes:
Now for some personal news! During the pandemic, I decided to expand my coaching from the physical to include the mental and emotional! I’m happy to announce that I am now offering Life coaching and Pole Life coaching!
It’s no surprise that pole is more than just big biceps. We work our mind and emotions sooooo much in our pole practice. It truly can make or break our day when things in the studio go “wrong”, or “right” for that matter. I’m so excited to dive into the deeper side of our sport and artistry and support the WHOLE poler. Mind, body and soul = the “whole”istic poler!
I am offering sessions in 30 minute, 60 minute and 75 minute sessions. Need a tune up or mild support? Try just one session. Working a little deeper on that “judge” or critical mind that keeps you from living your best life and pole life? Try a month of more intense focus or even once a month to keep you running at peak performance. Curious but not ready to commit? Just ask for a discovery call and let’s see if it’s right for you!
Pole Treats!
I’ve been really enjoying working on the pole mind lately. Affirmations, mindfulness, and loving care for the parts of us that are struggling or frustrated has become a passion and focus for me lately. Sadly, we often lack personal support and self care.
